I was very pleasantly surprised by the 2017 Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon, which has a very classical nose, combining the herbal character of the grape with good ripeness of the year, resulting in a very complete wine, nicely textured and with the serious tannins from the variety. I was very impressed by the 2016, and this follows the same path. 33,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2018. Luis Gutierrez, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Bright, dark red with ruby tones. More medicinal and bound-up on the nose than the Catena Alta Malbec, with its kirsch and menthol aromas accented by fresh herbs. At once fine-grained and nicely delineated, with its chocolatey ripeness leavened by a hint of fresh herbs that may come from the small Cabernet Franc component. This is less open to inspection today than the Catena Alta Malbec, finishing with firm, dusty tannins and excellent length. Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
